A Day Trip to CASCADAS CRYSTAL RESERVA PRIVADA

About an hour outside of Catemaco, you can escape into the high surrounding tropical mountains and enjoy a full day of swimming, relaxing, and exploring 3 waterfalls. The ride up to this reserve is an adventure in itself. Over rough road in our 4x4 truck, you will get a great overlook of the Gulf of Mexico in the distance.

After arriving, you will immediately see that this is not some “slick tourist place.” Instead, you will find it rather primitive. You could use the words natural, unspoiled, pristine. We take great pleasure in letting you escape from the “real world” for a day and just unwind in nature's beauty.

There are 3 waterfalls to visit with a crystal clear pool of water below each one in which you can jump, dive, and swim. Why not massage your body by standing under the falls itself and feel your stress melt away. Play in one pool for awhile and then go on to the next.

As part of the trip, we will provide a boxed lunch and 2 drinks. Additional drinks and snacks will be available for purchase. We request that you not bring any food or drink into the reserve. In that way, we can monitor the waste materials and keep the reserve sparkling natural.

Trips leave from  Catemaco Turs  Recreation Center. Please make a reservation in advance as we limit the number of people to the reserve at any one time.

On hot day, this is the place to be!

To insure your place on this trip, reservations and a 50% deposit should be made in advance.
Payment can be made online, by phone, or at Catemaco Turs Recreation Center  located on the lakefront.

This excursion departs from our dock daily at 10:30am and returns at 5:00pm
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before departure time.

Maximum number of people per trip: 12  (minimum number: 6 adults required for each trip)
Price per person: Adults: $400 pesos   
Children 6 – 12 years old:  $50 pesos    Under 6: free
Price includes: Round trip transportation, entrance fee, local guide, boxed lunch with 2 refreshments
Note: Additional refreshments and snacks are available for purchase at Cascadas Crystal.           

Cancellation Policy: A full refund will be given if notification is received no later than 12 hours prior to
the scheduled departure time. If notification is received within 3 hours of the
departure time, a 50% refund will be given. Within 3 hours, there will be no refund.(more)
